Key Responsibilities :
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Working closely with the CFO and Exco team to help drive the growth of the company by implementing financial strategies and aligning the finance team to assist in the support of the growth of IDMCollaborating with the forecasting and analysis team to assist the CFO and Head of Commercial in leading the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processesAssist the Group FM with monitoring financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions as neededManage cash flow and liquidity to ensure the company's financial obligations are met. Optimise working capital to ensure that covenant levels are not breachedYear end audit responsibilities i.e., liaising with auditors and assisting with / review of the preparation of Annual Financial StatementsAdvising on appropriate accounting treatment of complex transactionsReview of managements accounts and group consolidation to ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting to the Exco team and IDM ShareholdersSupport the CFO, together with the Head of Risk and Internal Audit, with identifying and managing financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk. Develop and implement additional risk mitigation controls where necessaryCollaborate with internal stakeholders, including department heads and senior executives, to provide financial insights and support decision-making processesMaintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, company secretary, and financial / banking partnersOverview and management of the payroll teamAssist the Group FM with the review of quarterly tax calculations (Income Tax and Deferred Tax)Supporting the CFO with the growth and development of the finance team, as well as ad hoc projectsKey Competencies :
Minimum of 3-4 years post-articles experience, ideally within a senior finance or management capacityExcellent command of both written and spoken EnglishExceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all financial outputsStrong planning, organisational, and time management abilitiesProven ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a team environmentSkilled at managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneouslyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organizationHighly self-motivated, demonstrating initiative and pride in delivering high-quality workStrategic mindset and strong leadership capability, with the ability to drive financial performance, mentor team members, and contribute to the organisation's long-term goalsProficient in Microsoft Excel, with knowledge of Sage being preferableAccounting / Financial Services jobs
