Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide the seafreight operations team on a daily basis.
- Allocate new business, ensuring scope of work is clear and followed.
- Oversee Out of Gauge and hazardous shipments to ensure compliance and correct handling.
- Monitor invoicing, costings, and profitability of all shipments.
- Maintain accurate documentation, files, and SOPs.
- Ensure smooth communication between clients, carriers, and internal teams.
- Prepare and review reports (GM, activity, stock, invoicing, and compliance).
- Drive service excellence with existing clients and develop growth opportunities across other routes and transport modes.
- Enforce compliance with internal controls, customs requirements, and Arms Control regulations.
- Manage staff leave planning and adherence to departmental job functions.
Requirements
Matric plus relevant qualifications.Minimum 5 years industry experience in seafreight exports, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.Strong knowledge of hazardous and Out of Gauge shipments.Solid understanding of customs, invoicing, and international compliance processes.Proven ability to lead teams and manage operations efficiently.Whats in it for you?
