Armed Response Officer

Job descriptionProvide immediate armed response to alarms and emergency situations Patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and prevent criminal activity Respond swiftly to incidents and investigate suspicious activities Work closely with control room personnel to coordinate response Assist in deterring criminal activities through visible armed presence Prepare incident reports and maintain records of patrol activities Ensure safe and secure handover procedures Use conflict resolution techniques to diffuse tense situations without resorting to violence. Follow best practices for threat assessment and the appropriate level of force, keeping public and personal safety a priority Maintain high levels of physical fitness with the ability to handle high-pressure situations Grade 10 or NQF level 4 PSIRA Registered (Grade B or higher) with Armed Reaction Certificate Valid SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate (Handgun, Shotgun, and Rifle) with Business Purposes Previous experience in armed response or law enforcement (minimum 2 years preferred) Previous mining experience will be an added advantage Clean criminal record Maintain high levels of physical fitness, as the job often involves long hours, quick response, and potential physical engagement Strong communication and interpersonal skills Valid driver’s license with PDP High level of integrity and professionalism Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong situational awareness and decision-making skills Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergencies.
