Job descriptionB.Bibl. or equivalent qualification, and one year of relevant working experience in a Higher Education Library or research environment. Advanced qualifications in LIS Ability to work across all campuses of CPUT Customer focus, Team support, Research & development & support, Training & orientation of learners and staff, Collection development, maintenance & evaluation, Internal & external liaison, Administration & record keeping, Project management & support, Marketing, Personal / professional development, Human Resources supervision, distance support. All aspects of working within the Faculty Support Team (Librarians and Senior Library Assistants supporting Faculties of Applied Sciences and Health & Wellness) to support the Teaching & Learning and Research Support services for these faculties. Inter-personal skills, and the ability to work within a team, Building strategic work partnerships & relationships, Adaptability, Conflict management, Client / learner focus, Project management skills, Information monitoring, Professional / Technical knowledge, Planning and organizing, Presentation skills, Training skills, Mentoring skills, People management skills, Knowledge of professional library practices, procedures and systems, Research support skills

- Senior Certificate or equivalent Grade 12
- ND LIS, LDLIS, B.Inf. or Equivalent Library and Information Science Qualification with 3 years relevant experience in a Higher Education Library or Research Library.
