This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to join our clients dynamic team in Cape Town. As the right-hand to the Chief Financial Officer you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial landscape of a forward-thinking organization. You will be instrumental in overseeing daily financial operations driving strategic initiatives ensuring the utmost integrity of financial information and providing expert guidance to the finance department. Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the CFO to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organizations overarching goals and long-term vision.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of all financial statements and reports.
- Establish and rigorously monitor internal controls to effectively mitigate financial risks.
- Maintain strict compliance with all relevant laws regulations and accounting standards (e.g. IFRS GAAP tax requirements).
- Oversee the daily operations of the finance department including accounts payable / receivable payroll treasury audit coordination and procurement policy implementation.
- Spearhead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Champion talent development performance management and succession planning within the finance function.
- Manage stakeholder relationships ensuring efficient and effective communication and support.
- Drive functional improvements through the strategic application of technology and robust systems management.
Requirements : Must-Haves :
Masters degree (e.g. MBA or MFin).Professional Certification (CA ACCA CPA or CMA) is a minimum requirement.A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.At least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis planning and reporting.Proven ability to inspire lead and develop teams to achieve high performance.Proficiency in aligning financial management with organizational goals.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities for effective problem-solving.Unwavering commitment to ethical conduct and confidentiality.Demonstrated ability to manage change in dynamic environments and adapt to new technologies.Experience in engaging with senior leaders auditors and regulators.Comprehensive understanding of financial systems and data manipulation capabilities.Nice-to-Haves :
