Salary Range

  • R40 000 – R45 000 CTC (Cost to Company)
  • Responsibilities

    Safety Management

  • Drive a safety culture on-site, ensuring adherence to all site-specific safety requirements and regulations.
  • Ensure all safety documentation is in place before the commencement of any task.
  • Keep the site team training up to date and manage the scheduling of required safety courses.
  • Oversee safe execution of all tasks, targeting a project goal of Zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI) and incidents.
  • Equipment Uptime and Maintenance

  • Maximize equipment uptime, setting and tracking uptime targets for all shifts.
  • Ensure all site equipment is maintained in optimal operating condition.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans for all equipment.
  • Lead the maintenance team, allocating daily tasks to artisans and tracking deadlinesli>
  • Drive a proactive maintenance culture and ensure prompt resolution of all equipment breakdowns.
  • Project and Cost Management

  • Develop and implement a project execution strategy that drives efficiency and excellence.
  • Control all project costs, regulate spending, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Manage all project suppliers, ensuring work is completed on time and all documentation (e.g., purchase orders, invoices) is processed efficiently with the finance department.
  • Operational Quality and Reporting

  • Ensure all processed material meets strict customer specifications regarding size and quality.
  • Complete and submit all employee timesheets to HR by the required deadlines.
  • Report weekly to the Project Manager on project performance, achievements, and bottlenecks.
  • Daily monitoring and reporting of equipment uptime, with accountability for missed targets.
  • Communication and Housekeeping

  • Establish effective communication channels with the site team and project stakeholders.
  • Develop and drive a strong housekeeping culture and plan, ensuring all site standards are consistently adhered to.
  • Requirements

  • Experience : Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Site Manager, preferably within the yellow equipment industry / heavy machinery / mining sectors.
  • Education :
  • Matric / Grade 12 Certificate (essential).

  • Project Management and / or Engineering qualification (essential).
  • Skills :
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel).

  • Strong technical report writing skills.
  • Proven project management experience.
