JOB PURPOSE

  • Responsible for leading the conceptualization and execution of visually compelling designs across a wide range of digital and print platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including marketing, to understand project goals, deliver high‑quality visual solutions, and ensure alignment with brand guidelines.

QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • 5‑8 years of professional experience in graphic design, with a focus on staying current with industry trends, emerging tools, and innovative design techniques.
  • Expert‑level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools (Sketch, Figma, etc.), with a demonstrated ability to execute high‑quality designs across both digital and print media.
  • Extensive experience in working with brand guidelines, ensuring brand consistency across all design materials while adapting designs to meet specific project needs and business objectives.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize and create visually striking designs, layouts, and concepts, with a strong emphasis on creative problem‑solving and delivering designs that resonate with target audiences.
  • In‑depth knowledge of typography, including expert understanding of fonts, typefaces, and effective type usage to enhance design communication.
  • Strong understanding of colour theory and psychology, applying colour choices strategically to evoke the desired emotional response and strengthen the overall message.
  • GENERAL EXPECTANCY

  • Extensive experience and advanced competencies demonstrated through a strong portfolio and successful completion of complex design projects.
  • Typically, 5‑8 years of professional experience, with a proven ability to lead design initiatives, mentor junior designers, and consistently deliver high‑quality, creative solutions across digital and print mediums.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES

    Design Creation & Concept Development

  • Lead the creation of visually compelling content for both digital and print platforms, including websites, social media visuals, marketing materials, brochures, logos, advertisements, and other promotional assets.
  • Develop innovative concepts that align with AESGs brand vision, ensuring a cohesive and consistent visual identity across all channels.
  • Produce designs that effectively communicate complex technical concepts in a visually engaging manner.
  • Project Leadership

  • Manage the design process from initial concept through to final execution, ensuring that each project is completed on time and meets the brands standards.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing to understand project objectives, delivering high‑quality visual solutions.
  • Handle multiple design projects concurrently, effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate design ideas and concepts to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Brand Consistency

  • Ensure that all design materials adhere to brand guidelines, maintaining a unified and consistent visual identity across all platforms.
  • Regularly update and refine brand guidelines to keep the visual identity relevant and contemporary.
  • Quality Control

  • Review and proof all design work to ensure it meets project specifications and upholds the highest standards of quality.
  • Ensure that final designs are delivered in the correct formats for both digital and print, with a strong focus on details like color accuracy, typography, and layout.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Present design concepts and final deliverables to clients, senior leadership, or stakeholders, effectively communicating the design rationale and incorporating their feedback.
  • Adapt and revise designs based on feedback to ensure alignment with stakeholder objectives and overall project goals.
  • Innovation & Research

  • Continuously explore new design techniques, tools, and technologies to push creative boundaries and introduce fresh ideas to the design process.
  • Conduct research on competitor design strategies and industry trends to ensure that the designs remain competitive, engaging, and aligned with market expectations.

  • Operational Delivery - Assist the operations / consultancy team and contribute to the successful delivery of projects or tasks. Learn to execute tasks efficiently and accurately, often following established procedures.
