Software Developer in Test – FNB South Africa
Join us as a Software Developer in Test to create, maintain and refine automated testing within the quality assurance processes across our Core Banking Applications. You will work with technical leads to enable efficient product delivery and effective use of open‑source tools wherever possible.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to an environment of successful delivery and continuous improvement.
- Prevent wastage and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs.
- Continuously assess own performance, seek feedback and request training where appropriate.
- Minimise system downtime through pro‑active testing, defect management and code reviews.
- Assess, identify and mitigate risks within the IT environment and comply with governance, legislative, audit and business policy requirements.
- Code, compile, test and implement tests to ensure applications meet test requirements in compliance with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proactively engage with business units and colleagues to understand needs and opportunities, and identify IT innovative solutions.
Qualifications
Advanced Java (OCA) and Spring Boot experience.Database management : SQL basics.Front‑end application navigation knowledge.API testing with Postman or SoapUI.API documentation (Swagger).Monitoring tools (Splunk, Grafana).CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo).Micro Focus ALM Octane usage.Git and Bitbucket.IntelliJ IDE.Understanding of Script Datasheets and Data‑Driven Framework.Knowledge of OCEP services and data preparation.Agile methodology.Personal Attributes
