Overview

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will primarily identify and engage with a targeted group of national and regional thought leaders and healthcare professionals (HCPs), payers, and managed care accounts. The MSL will deliver educational and compliant scientific information to support SUN’s oncology products and serve as a critical field medical resource.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Interact with healthcare providers and thought leaders to communicate and advance the scientific platform in alignment with SUN’s corporate objectives.
• Communicate complex scientific information and research concepts to HCPs.
• Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision makers.
• Identify, train, and update members of SUN’s speakers’ bureau on new data.
• Respond to requests for investigator‑sponsored research (ISS) proposals and coordinate the review and funding process with SUN and HCPs.
• Support SUN‑sponsored research initiatives.
• Provide feedback from field interactions to SUN stakeholders.
• Respond to scientific inquiries in a compliant manner.
• Foster scientific relationships between SUN and fellows in training.
• Lead or participate in committees or project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics as delegated by MSL leadership.
• Seek opportunities to support the MSL value proposition and demonstrate SUN values and leadership attributes.
• Gather customer feedback, uncover business opportunities, and align unmet needs with available internal resources.
• Work effectively with SUN clinical and commercial personnel and assist in training SUN staff.
• Communicate professionally and maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
• Comply with all applicable SUN Health Care Compliance SOPs and US regulations.

Qualifications

The base compensation for this position ranges from $152,500 to $186,500. Compensation may vary based on location and experience. Employees are eligible to participate in a performance‑based bonus plan and have access to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, flexible spending accounts, and an employee assistance program. Paid time off includes vacation and sick leave.
