Sales and Marketing Intern (W1137)

Introduction

• Matric with a Marketing or Business qualification with an interest in Beauty Industry. Computer literate. Drivers license and own car. Fixed term internship position.

Description : A company that markets a curated range of global and local beauty brands both online and to selected major retail chains is seeking a Brand Intern to join their team for a 12-month fixed term internship role. This role will report to the Brand Manager and Field Sales Manager. The duties will include but are not limited to : assist in development and implementation of the annual brand plan; general administrative support; conduct periodic price audits on competitive brands; liaise with stakeholders; keep an accurate log of press pack drops and do follow ups; do preparation for retailer strategy meeting; assist in the launching of new brands products or promotions by; raise FG / FT / FS codes on Syspro for new SKUs; inputs all master data for new SKUs on Syspro; load annual selling price increases on Syspro; coordinates the distribution of press-releases samples photographic material competitions giveaways etc.; assist with press release writing and preparation of press kits; monitor media coverage; organize PR events; development of Brand social media calendars and post management; updating competitor pricing analysis; compiling new price increase schedules; liaise with sites such as One Day only; forecasting input; achievement of sales objectives and the relationship building with retailers; provides In Store Support and call on stores according to the call cycle; carry out all duties in accordance with standards and policies.

Key Requirements : Matric with a Marketing or Business qualification. BCom marketing preferred. No experience is required but an interest in or some exposure to the Beauty Industry is preferred. Computer literate. Digital Social media marketing experience would be beneficial. Drivers license and own car essential. Ability and willingness to vary working hours to meet deadlines.

Additional Requirements : Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Self-starter with attention to detail. Good numeric skills. Systematic and organised and able to work independently. Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and deal with all work levels.
