Your Mission :

We are seeking to recruit an HSE Specialist – SA to establish and oversee a dynamic and proactive approach to Environment, Health, and Safety across our industrial and logistics operations.

The role involves managing health and safety issues, deploying H&S standards, and driving continuous improvement plans. It also includes overseeing environmental matters such as waste management, emissions control, and the implementation of Best Available Technologies and environmental standards like ROHS and W3E. The specialist will promote and support the Group Health Policy, focusing on employee well-being—physical, mental, and social—while enhancing the use of management tools. They will develop and implement prevention programs to reduce workplace accidents and occupational illnesses, monitor regulatory changes, support healthcare initiatives, and may also be responsible for site security. The scope will cover all relevant BU’s across the ESA cluster.

What will you do?

  • Establish and oversee a dynamic and proactive approach to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) across industrial and logistics operations.
  • Manage health and safety issues, deploy H&S standards, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee environmental management including waste handling, emissions control, and implementation of Best Available Technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards such as ROHS and W3E.
  • Promote and support the Group Health Policy, focusing on physical, mental, and social well-being of employees.
  • Enhance the deployment and utilization of H&S management tools.
  • Develop and implement prevention programs to reduce workplace accidents and occupational illnesses.
  • Monitor and respond to regulatory changes affecting the site.
  • Provide support to healthcare initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • May be responsible for managing site security to ensure a safe and secure working environment.

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?

  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—across various formats.
  • High attention to detail; proactive, dynamic, and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Solid knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and related regulations.
  • Progressive safety and environmental experience, with demonstrated leadership abilities to influence and drive change.
  • Proven success in leading safety programs within the electrical, construction, utility, and / or field services industries.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance auditing and regulatory guidance, including OSHA LOTO, OSHA Electrical Safety, and NFPA 70E requirements.
  • Experience in managing HSE across multiple BU’s
  • Understanding and use of EcoOnline EHS App for safety reporting
  • Experience in deploying SE / local regulatory working hours policy

  • What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Technical Certificate, National Diploma, or Degree in Environmental Health, Safety, or Quality.
  • 5–10 years of experience in the manufacturing sector (preferred).
