Job Description

Your job responsibilities will be the following :

  • Build relationships with key customers and suppliers to support the achievement of the strategic goals and targets.
  • Provide leadership to the business unit team (direction, growth, and development) at the same time developing a pipeline of talent through coaching, training, and performance management feedback.
  • Coordinate and ensure correct implementation of sales, marketing, pricing, and inventory models (includes inflation, forex variances, competitor activity etc).
  • Supplier development and maintaining relationships, setting rebate structures, tracking performance.
  • Oversee the implementation of the human resources policies, procedures and practices including the development of job descriptions for all staff.
  • Establish a positive, healthy, and safe work environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations.
  • Coach and mentor staff as appropriate to improve performance.
  • Work with staff members and management to prepare a comprehensive budget.
  • Identify and evaluate the risks to the organisations people (customers, staff, management), property, finances, image and implement measures to control risks

Qualifications

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Related technical qualification (National Diploma Mech Eng, BTech Mech Eng. or BSc Mech Eng.)
  • Executive Development Course / MBA an advantage.
  • Skills

  • 5-10 years sales in the drives / gearbox industry along with 5 years management experience of a diverse team (operations and sales)
  • Workshop exposure will be an added advantage
