ITAD Store (a division of ITAD Africa (Pty) Ltd)

Location : Centurion, Gauteng

Reports To : Managing Director / Sales Manager

We operate as a circular-technology marketplace, providing high-quality, professionally refurbished servers, laptops, networking equipment, and storage systems to businesses, resellers, and individual customers across South Africa and the wider African region.

Through ITAD Africa's distribution channel and partnerships with OEM suppliers, and other ITAD (IT Asset Disposition) companies, ITAD Store combines commercial excellence with environmental responsibility — making technology more accessible while reducing e-waste.

Purpose of the Role

The Sales Executive plays a pivotal role in expanding ITAD Store's sales footprint, driving revenue across both retail and wholesale channels. The incumbent is responsible for selling legacy, refurbished and new IT equipment, managing online marketplace listings, and coordinating with internal and external partners to source high-demand assets. This position bridges customer needs with available inventory, ensuring product availability, competitive pricing, and exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Generation

Identify, develop, and close new sales opportunities across corporate, reseller, and retail customers.

  • Manage existing accounts to grow recurring sales and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Prepare accurate quotations, proposals, and product recommendations based on client requirements.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Online Sales & Marketplace Management

Manage listings, pricing, and product descriptions on ITAD Store's e-commerce platform, and other online marketplaces (eBay, Takealot, Bobshop, Amazon etc.).

  • Ensure listings are accurate, visually appealing, and optimised for maximum visibility and conversion.
  • Track sales performance, manage orders, and oversee logistics coordination for timely delivery.
  • Analyse marketplace trends and competitor pricing to refine strategy and improve results.
  • Asset Coordination & Stock Sourcing

    Collaborate with ITAD Africa's asset recovery and refurbishment teams to identify resale-ready inventory.

  • Coordinate with distributors, vendors, and other ITAD companies to source specialised or high-demand equipment for customers.
  • Maintain a dynamic product pipeline and monitor stock levels to ensure availability.
  • Provide ongoing market insights on product demand, resale values, and customer preferences.
  • Client Relationship Management

    Build and maintain strong client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and reliability.

  • Handle client inquiries and ensure seamless pre- and post-sales support.
  • Work closely with logistics, finance and technical teams to guarantee consistent customer experience.
  • Reporting & Administration

    Maintain detailed records of leads, sales activities, and customer interactions in the CRM system.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, including forecasts and performance summaries.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns, product promotions, and catalogue updates.
  • Sustainability & Brand Stewardship

    Promote ITAD Store's circular-economy mission in all client interactions.

  • Educate customers on the environmental and economic benefits of refurbished IT solutions.
  • Uphold ethical and transparent sales practices consistent with ITAD Africa's sustainability principles.
  • Key Competencies

  • Proven B2B or B2C sales track-record, preferably within IT hardware, ICT distribution, or e-commerce.
  • Working knowledge of IT systems (servers, laptops, networking gear, storage devices, etc.).
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills with both clients and suppliers.
  • Proficient in online sales platforms (eBay, Takealot, Amazon, etc.) and CRM tools.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills.
  • Results-driven and self-motivated, capable of working independently.
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or Information Technology.
  • 3–5 years' experience in IT hardware or e-commerce sales.
  • Experience sourcing or trading through IT distributors and refurbishers is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's licence and own transport preferred.

  • Remuneration

    Note : Remuneration details below are indicative and subject to final approval.

  • R15,000.00 Basic salary plus performance-based commission.
  • Additional incentives for achieving sales and sourcing milestones.
