Job description

The Procurement Assistant at The Royal Portfolio works alongside our Interiors team to manage the administration and planning for all their procurement requirements for our properties. This is an integral role that keeps our Designers, Project  Managers and Procurement teams organised and on deadline.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • collating lists of furniture, fittings and equipment required per project
  • sourcing quotes as needed for the team to compare
  • create inventory lists
  • track delivery details
  • capture all items received, and work closely with the Warehouse
  • manage logistics of any shippnig or couriers as required

REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS

  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Events Management or Interior Decorating preferred.
  • You must be available to work full-time, in office
  • You must be able to travel, and work irregular hours
  • You must have a driver's license
  • You must be physically fit, and able to fetch and carry large / sometimes heavy items
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Positive attitude with can-do mindset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, pressurised office environment
  • It is important that the candidate is able to work as part of a team and is a good cultural fit for The Royal Portfolio.

    South African citizenship is advantageous. A valid work permit is essential if you are not in possession of a South African ID document.

    Please note it is a condition of employment, that all staff undergo a pre-employment polygraph test.
