Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team for a fixed term contract starting in January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accountant with a strong background in a manufacturing environment .

Key Requirements :

Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting experience , preferably within manufacturing.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end close, and general ledger management .
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Immediately available and based in Pietermaritzburg.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

Responsibilities :

Full-cycle accounting including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close .

Preparation of financial statements and reports .

Support budgeting and forecasting processes.

Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements .

Liaise with management to provide accurate financial insights.
