QuickBooks Cash Applications Specialist

We are seeking a tech-savvy and detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis (approximately 4 hours per day). This position will play a key role in utilizing our new AI-driven cash application software to streamline and expedite the payment application process.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience with NetSuite , excellent attention to detail, and the ability to identify and communicate variances in payment applications. This role is critical in ensuring all payments received via ACH or lockbox are applied timely and accurately , allowing the AR team to maintain up-to-date customer account information.

Key Responsibilities :

Use the new AI-powered cash application software to match incoming payments to customer invoices.

Train and optimize the system through ongoing use to improve automation and efficiency.

Ensure accurate and timely application of payments received via ACH and lockbox.

Identify, research, and communicate any discrepancies or variances in payment applications.

Assist the AR team by issuing credit memos to customers as needed.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all cash application activities.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper customer balance communication and reconciliation.

Support process improvements and suggest ways to enhance automation and accuracy.

Qualifications :

Proven experience in Accounts Receivable or Cash Application roles.

Working knowledge of NetSuite (required).

Strong computer skills and comfort with new financial software and AI tools .

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Strong communication skills to report and resolve variances.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.

Schedule & Growth Opportunity :

Part-Time : Approximately 4 hours per day.

This role has the potential to expand into a full-time position depending on performance and the efficiency gains from the new software implementation.
