Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations : accounts payable / receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers.
- Support compliance with U.S. regulatory and reporting standards (SEC, FINRA, etc., as applicable).
- Provide financial analysis and business insights to senior management.
- Manage and review vendor contracts and financial implications
- Recommend and implement system and process improvements for scalability.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (CA(SA), CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.Minimum 5–8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or controller role.Prior experience in the financial services industry is highly advantageous.Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).Excellent command of English, with strong communication and reporting skills.Must be capable of working independently in a remote, cross-border environment.Employment Framework
The candidate will be employed by Tintwa Group (Pty) Ltd under a South African employment contract, earning a remuneration package denominated in ZAR.Tintwa Group will handle all employment, payroll, and statutory obligations locally.The successful candidate will report directly to the client’s CFO in the USA.Working hours will need to align partially with CST (Central Standard Time) to accommodate collaboration with the U.S. finance team.Package & Remuneration
The total Cost to Company (CTC) package will range between R800,000 and R1,400,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
