Job Description

  • Review tender documents and note all important information.
  • Register new tenders in accordance with tender registration process with all accurate information.
  • Ensure continued and healthy supplier / consultant / client relationships.
  • Issue enquiries timeously with necessary attachments to various suppliers for all equipment and follow-up.
  • Attend site inspection / clarification meetings when required to assess needs and technical requirements .
  • Tracking quotations confirming correctness and completeness of suppliers offer which includes CPA / fixed price / validity / schedules / equipment brochures.
  • Assist Tender Coordinator / Administrator in compiling tender master file efficiently and systematically.
  • Updating and maintaining Technical Schedules.
  • Align tender requirements with Project Managers input.
  • Sound knowledge of the various Contract Conditions implemented on construction projects.
  • Prepare pricing schedules in accordance to project requirements.
  • Prepare prequalification & project specific documents for submission.
  • Execute post-mortem evaluation on projects to assess needs / requirements for future tenders.
  • Business travel might be required occasionally.

Qualifications

  • B-Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering- Heavy / Low Current

    • Skills

  • Minimum of 3 5 years experience in a Tendering / Estimating role for Generation (Renewable Energy) and Transmission bids MV / LV Reticulation / Substation / OHLT projects.
  • Computer literate in MS Office, especially in Excel (Knowledge of MS Projects added advantage).
  • Own transport & time flexibility Overtime will be required on occasion.
  • Previous project management experience in at least one significant engineering project from start to finish, an advantage.
