Our client based in Centurion is looking for a highly skilled IoT and Systems Integration Specialist to manage IoT edge devices and Windows system desktops, design processes, and develop solutions based on client requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to design and implement effective systems. Key Responsibilities : IoT Edge Device Management : Configure, deploy, and maintain IoT edge devices. Monitor and troubleshoot IoT device connectivity, performance, and reliability. Ensure secure and efficient operation of IoT devices. Windows System Desktop Management : Manage and support Windows system desktops. Perform regular updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Process Design and Implementation : Conduct meetings with clients to understand their needs and business processes. Design processes from initial client meetings to final drafts for developers. Collaborate with developers to ensure systems are built according to design specifications. Communication Technologies : Understand and implement communication protocols including serial, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, BLE, and mesh networks. Ensure seamless integration of communication technologies within systems. GPS and Mapping : Utilize GPS technology within maps and devices. Implement location-based services and solutions. Hardware Design and Management : Design hardware solutions considering cost, capabilities, and restrictions. Evaluate and select appropriate hardware components for projects. Mobile Device Integration : Understand mobile phone devices and their integration with IoT systems. Implement barcode scanning and linking items using mobile apps. App Software Design : Design functional and user-friendly app software. Develop strong but simple user interfaces. Barcode Technologies and Label Design : Understand barcode technologies and printing. Design labels using software such as Label Maker. Proficiency in testing and validating IoT, RFID epc gen2, and NFC systems. Experience in developing portals and device readers for mobility applications. Document test results and provide recommendations for improvements. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in managing IoT devices and Windows systems. Strong understanding of communication protocols (serial, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, BLE, mesh). Experience with GPS technology and mapping. Knowledge of hardware design and evaluation. Familiarity with mobile device integration and barcode technologies. Proficiency in app software design and user interface development. Experience with label design software. Skills : Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Understanding of some programming languages and the environments they are used in.
