Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in a maritime or hospitality setting Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic computer skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Valid driver's license preferred
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in receiving and inspecting food and beverage deliveries from suppliers onboard a cruise ship
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of all food and beverage items
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies to the Food Storekeeper
- Assist in preparing and packing orders for delivery to vessels
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the food storage areas
- Assist in conducting regular stock checks and ordering of necessary supplies
- Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure compliance with regulations
- Assist in training and supervising junior storekeeping staff
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
