Production Superintendent

Job description

Manage all production, engineering and related activities including ISO;

Ensure all breakdowns are attended to immediately and maintenance of the plant is done regularly;

Rectify and repair all emergency breakdowns as soon as possible to eliminate loss of production;

Adhere to the maintenance schedule system;

Monitor the performance of subordinates and ensure targets are met;

Draft weekly production planning and adjust where necessary to accommodate customer orders;

Ensure that the raw materials required are enough for the planned production;

Manage and facilitate purchase orders for local suppliers;

Conduct cycle counts and stocktake and ensure that there are no variances;

Monitor manufacturing expenses in line with the budget;

Ensure that the plant is shut down and all equipment is switched off after daily production;

Comply with the requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS);

Contribute to a healthy and inclusive work environment within the division and team;

Adhere to all Health & Safety standards in the factory

Requirements :

Grade 12 or equivalent
Minimum 3 years experience in a production environment
Experience as a Millwright in a manufacturing environment
In-depth electrical and mechanical experience in production
Working knowledge of an operational batching plant with related equipment & machinery
