Job Advert Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Administrator responsible for effective and efficient payroll administration. The incumbent will support HR Operations and the Head Office Payroll Team and perform the full payroll function from processing, verifying and reconciling of pay information taking into account Legislation, Company Policy and Audit Requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform the full payroll function from processing, verifying and reconciling of pay information taking into account Legislation, Company Policy and Audit Requirement.
- Perform various reconciliations which includes the National Bargaining Council Leave versus the Sage300 People balance.
- Ensure accurate payment of salaries and wages.
- Prepare a detailed analytical review of the salaries for the pay period.
- Explain material variances from prior to current month.
- Provide support to the Payroll Supervisor.
- Internal / external audit preparation.
- Other adhoc payroll-related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Qualification & Experience :
Grade 12 / MatricBookkeeping / Accountancy / Payroll Certificate or DiplomaAt least 5 years in a same or similar roleAt least 3 years processing payroll using SAGE300 PeopleKnowledge / Exposure to the National Bargaining Council Collective Agreement for the Road Freight Industry is an advantageExperience with Africa payrolls and legislation is advantageousSkills & Attributes
Strong payroll principals computer and payroll system skillsWork independently as well as part of a teamAttention to detailWorking knowledge of all labour legislationGood understanding and practical knowledge of employees tax and statutory requirementsAbility to co-ordinate and control information from distant regionsRequired Experience : Unclear Seniority
