Job Description
- Build, train, and validate predictive and statistical models.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Support the development and refinement of machine learning algorithms.
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and transforming structured and unstructured datasets.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across systems.
- Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Translate business requirements into analytical tasks and actionable insights.
- Develop visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings effectively.
- Present analytical insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Explore and apply new data science methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Develop proficiency in data visualization tools and emerging technologies.
Requirements
NQF Level 6 or higher tertiary qualification in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or related field (including Information Systems).Relevant Cloud certification (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Data Scientist role.Strong understanding of statistics, data modelling, and machine learning concepts.Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages.Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).Knowledge of data management and cloud-based analytics platforms.Requirements
