This role is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-branch environment and can drive financial performance, strengthen controls, and partner closely with senior operational leaders.
You will oversee full regional finance, ensure strict compliance, manage audits, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide meaningful insight to guide decision-making across the region.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the full finance function for the region, including Debtors, Creditors, Cashbook, and General Ledger.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, flash results, and variance analysis.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
- Analyse Income Statements and Balance Sheets, providing commentary and actionable insights.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (VAT, Income Tax, PAYE, etc.).
- Coordinate internal audits and ensure adherence to internal controls across all branches.
- Prepare year-end audit packs and liaise with external auditors.
- Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts for the region.
- Manage payroll preparation and review.
- Authorise and release payments on bank accounts.
- Conduct monthly stock / inventory reconciliations and attend branch stock counts.
- Perform monthly Debtors reviews and drive improvements.
- Conduct management reviews with General Managers and Regional Executives.
- Provide financial training and support to branch admin staff.
- Travel to branches to conduct reviews, audits, and operational assessments.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and support cost-saving and strategic initiatives as required.
Job Experience and Skills Required :
CA(SA) or equivalent professional finance qualification.Minimum 5 years financial management experience, ideally within a regional or multi-branch environment.Strong experience in audit, compliance, and operational finance.Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting ability.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the region.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure.Apply now!
