Duties :
Leads a small team of cooks and kitchen staff
Cooking for guests (20 guests when the camp is full) at 5
Presents and introduces new meal ideas
Responsible for food & beverage management - purchasing, hygiene, stock management
Optimal use of food stocks (compliance with budget targets)
Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen
Requirements : Grade 12
A formal cookery qualification
At least 3+ years of experience as Head Chef in a comparable position at a 5
Familiar with the requirements of HACCP standards
Puts the wishes of the guests first and is ready to go the extra mile
Honest personality with integrity who likes to work in a team
No hierarchical thinking
Willingness to help out in other areas of the Lodge in exceptional situations
Salary on offer : Monthly fixed salary
Annual Bonus based on company results and individual performance not guaranteed
R1 600.00 contribution to Private Health Insurance (after probation period of 3 months)
