Overview

We are seeking a motivated Design Assistant to support our engineering team with CAD drawings and mechanical designs in the Wastewater Treatment industry. This role offers hands-on training, professional growth, and the chance to contribute to high-quality engineering projects. Responsibilities

  • Draw up Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
  • Prepare Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs).
  • Design mechanical components from P&IDs.
  • Assist Designers to edit, correct and issue drawings of piping systems and related tasks.
  • Assist Designers with development of bills of materials (BOM) from manufacturing drawings.
  • If required, assist in measuring up and drawing / detailing equipment, systems, etc.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 – 2 years of experience in a relevant design environment.
  • AutoCAD (2D) training and basic Inventor knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a team under the supervision of Designers.
  • Computer literacy with basic skills in MS Excel and Word.

    • Qualifications

  • National Diploma Mechanical Engineering / Draughting Certificate.
  • AutoCAD Certificate.
  • South African residents or individuals with a valid SA work permit will be considered.
