Job description
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and submit all relevantSARS returns, including VAT, Provisional Tax, Payroll Tax, and Employee Tax Reconciliations.
Performmonthly VAT reasonableness reviewsand respond to SARS documentation requests.
Managetax compliance status, reporting findings to senior management.
Prepare and submitCIPC annual company returns,Stats SA questionnaires, andBBBEE documentation.
Maintain the companyscompliance drive, ensuring all statutory documents (tax clearance, CIPC, BBBEE, bank confirmations, etc.) are valid and up to date.
Manage and update company profiles on theCentral Supplier Database (CSD)and register new business units as needed.
Support theannual audit process, prepare and review audit files, and resolve queries promptly.
Prepare and / or reviewaudited annual financial statementsin line with applicable standards.
Maintain and renewlicenses(liquor, TV, fleet, etc.) and manage FICA submissions.
Requirements
B in Accounting or Finance(essential)
Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experiencein a finance or compliance role
Registration with an Accounting Body(e.g. SAIPA, SAICA, CIMA, etc.)
Solid knowledge ofSouth African Tax Laws,IFRS, and financial compliance processes
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to thrive in amulti-entity, fast-paced environment
