Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit all relevantSARS returns, including VAT, Provisional Tax, Payroll Tax, and Employee Tax Reconciliations.
  • Performmonthly VAT reasonableness reviewsand respond to SARS documentation requests.
  • Managetax compliance status, reporting findings to senior management.
  • Prepare and submitCIPC annual company returns,Stats SA questionnaires, andBBBEE documentation.
  • Maintain the companyscompliance drive, ensuring all statutory documents (tax clearance, CIPC, BBBEE, bank confirmations, etc.) are valid and up to date.
  • Manage and update company profiles on theCentral Supplier Database (CSD)and register new business units as needed.
  • Support theannual audit process, prepare and review audit files, and resolve queries promptly.
  • Prepare and / or reviewaudited annual financial statementsin line with applicable standards.
  • Maintain and renewlicenses(liquor, TV, fleet, etc.) and manage FICA submissions.

Requirements

  • B in Accounting or Finance(essential)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experiencein a finance or compliance role
  • Registration with an Accounting Body(e.g. SAIPA, SAICA, CIMA, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge ofSouth African Tax Laws,IFRS, and financial compliance processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in amulti-entity, fast-paced environment
