Job Description
To be responsible for developing and managing relationships with channel partners, resellers to drive revenue growth for the company’s IT product and solutions portfolio. The role focuses on building partner capability, executing join sales strategies and achieving sales targets while ensuring high levels of partner satisfaction and loyalty.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive channel sales strategy aligned with business goals.
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new distribution and reseller partners.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing channel partners to ensure retention and growth.
- Drive indirect sales through channel partners by providing sales support, training, and joint marketing activities.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs related to channel performance.
- Work with internal teams (marketing, technical, finance) to develop offers and campaigns that support channel growth.
- Provide product training and sales enablement tools to partners.
- Ensure partners are equipped with necessary collateral and product knowledge to effectively sell.
- Resolve channel partner issues and ensure satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and partner feedback to adjust strategies as needed.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance analysis to management.
Educational Requirements
Matric, preferably with mathematicsA tertiary qualification and / or a relevant diploma in Business Management, Commerce or Sales will be an advantageExperience and Skills Required
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Sales or marketing in a senior management position within ICT salesProven experience in channel sales or distribution managementProven experience in sales leadership within the ICT industry, with a strong knowledge of ICT products, services, and market dynamicsDeep knowledge of the customer and vendor landscape, including channel partner models, sales cycles, and vendor relationship managementStrong commercial acumen and experience negotiating with vendors and customers in the ICT spaceIntermediate skills in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPointBoth local and regional travelling will be required from time to timeValid Driver’s License + own transport is requiredStrategic thinker with strong planning and execution skillsExcellent verbal and written business communication skills across all levels including ExecutiveOrganized individual who is deadline driven with good time management skillsExcellent interpersonal and networking skillsAbove average attention to detailExcellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skillsStrong negotiation, presentation, and communication skillsAbility to work in a pressured environment, to chase and meet targetsStrategic thinker with hands-on execution abilityPassionate about salesInterested in IT products and technologyConfident, self-motivated, and displays a high level of energyCustomer service orientatedEnjoy collaboration and be able to work as part of a teamWilling to go the extra mile to deliver the exceptionalProficient in sales reporting toolsSelf-managed and self-drivenAnalytical and data-driven decision makingAvailable outside normal working hours, when necessaryHow to Apply
