An exciting opportunity has become available at Dunns within the Operations department, for a Area Sales Manager.The Area Sales Manager is responsible for the effective execution of superior customer service by achieving optimum turnover results and customer service through merchandise presentation, staff motivation and development that is customer focused.The successful applicant will also need to have a successful track record in Regional / Area Manager experience and enable Dunns to maintain and grow the portfolio in accordance with company strategies.Qualifications
Grade 12 / MatricTertiary qualification will be an advantageKnowledge, Skills and Experience
3 Years’ experience in Multi-store OperationsValid driver’s license with extensive travelCustomer service orientationStrong leadership and managerial skills / Ability to develop subordinatesAbility to plan, organize and control effectivelyComputer literacyWorking knowledge of budget control / Ability to analyze business reportsAttention to detailAbility to communicate with people on all levelsNegotiation SkillsTolerance for stressSelf-ManagementPlanning abilityHigh level of integrity / InitiativeKey Responsibilities
Achievement of sales and profit budgets by the effective ongoing management of resourcesProtection of all assets (stock, cash, physical assets, staff and customers) through effective implementation of company policies and proceduresEvaluate performance in the achievement of budgets and take action where necessaryPro-actively influence stockholding and monitor rates of sales within region to ensure correct merchandise mixEnsure store layouts within region are in line with company standardsCustomer serviceEnsure merchandise opportunities are maximized through management of inventoryEnsure correct company administration procedures in respect of stock, mark-downs, lay bysEnsure effective merchandise replenishmentKnowledge of competitive businessPeople managementPeople administrationPerformance ManagementRecruit, develop, guide staff to ensure customer friendly and efficient environmentProcess managementDeadline : 14th November,2025
