Our client, a multinational manufacturing company with group offices situated globally, seeks your contracts experience to take up this one year fixed term contract . You will adhere to the product sourcing strategies and road-maps for the procurement of capital goods and related services to ensure best practice.

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage daily capital procurement requirements including drafting contracts, placing orders, pricing, supplier payment and account queries.
Ensure alignment with the Group Procurement team.
Scope and source at a global level.
Plan and execute RFQ and tenders, evaluate tenders and RFQs, prepare and approve RFQ / tender evaluation.
Develop negotiation strategies and participate in negotiations.
Drive cost saving initiatives.
Draft and finalize contracts within the management guidelines and company policy.
Assist to ensure compliance with agreed SLAs.
Review and assess variation orders. Manage variation order register.
Attend risk reduction meetings.
Conduct supplier relationship management, including supplier audits and evaluations.
Perform regular market analysis and benchmarking.
Focus on buying channel digitalization and automation.
Monitor risks and ensure that the strategy and road-maps are adjusted to account for any changes.
Build strong relationship with Project team.

Minimum Job Requirements

Degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Law or Category.

CIPS Registration and / or qualification, a strong advantage.

Min. 10 to 15 years in Procurement and Contract Management environment, in the Construction industry.

Procurement in international environment and exposure to the procurement and contract management of capital goods and construction works.

In-depth understanding of construction Bill of Quantities and their application in contract management.

Package & Remuneration

R1 million per annum (cost to company) - negotiable.
