Key Performance Output

The successful candidate will be reporting to Manager Physical Security, and will be responsible but not limited to the following :

  • Manage personnel and security outputs and introduce remedial processes where necessary.
  • Conduct strategic resource planning.
  • Ensure security solutions in line with cargo security plans and international best practice.
  • Ensure cargo screening processes is implemented and the designed centralized check points are in compliance to requirements.
  • Create partnership with airlines, ground handlers and cargo operators.
  • Collect and disseminate all cargo volumes statistics.
  • Implement security measures at valuable cargo and vulnerable cargo installations to prevent acts of unlawful interference.
  • Ensure the effective preventative maintenance plans are in place and implemented.
  • Ensure security process alignment to ACSA governance, policies and procedures.
  • Review and authorise mandatory and business related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Analyse crime statistics, identify areas of concern and implement mitigation measures.
  • Develop, implement and communicate Security Strategy within relevant area of responsibility and provide input into overall strategy.
  • Ensure quality assurance.
  • Review complaints and develop remedial measures for implementation.
  • Manage and respond to all emergencies and ensure that the team is able to respond adequately.
  • Manage the security component of risk within relevant area.
  • Stay abreast of global security threats and security technology advancements.
  • Manage the entire project process within relevant area.
  • Build and maintain sound internal and external stakeholder / customer relations whilst balancing enforcement with professionalism.
  • Technical Skills and Experience

    The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required :

  • A Diploma in International Air Transport Authority / Relevant Diploma is essential.
  • 3-5 years Operational experience is essential.
  • 3 years Management experience is Advantageous.
  • Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Grade A.
  • NKP (National Key Point).
  • MS Office Proficiency.
