What will you do?
This role will report to the Business Manager
Your primary focus will be building a supporting portfolio of brokers to increase new business. The Broker Consultant is the interface between the brokers and Sanlam and strives to achieve the business objectives in a dynamic, innovative and high-performance environment.As a Broker Consultant, you will play a third party marketing role to promote Sanlam products to Brokers, with a primary focus of building a portfolio of supporting brokers, by forming trusting and co-operative relationships that enhance new business opportunities whilst supporting and up-skilling Brokers with the relevant information, tools and technologies that will enable them in their practice.Output / Core Tasks :

Qualification and Experience
Completed Business / Commerce / Marketing / Legal degreePreferably Post graduate diploma in Financial Planning / RFP3 / Wealth Management 3Goal and target motivatedSales and marketing orientationNatural relationship-builderAt least three years Broker Consultant experience and currently in a Broker / Business Consultant / Business Development Manager role in a Life Insurance or Linked Investment Service Provider companyKnowledge and Skills
To be successful you will need to demonstrate good experience in :
Ability to build a portfolio of brokersThe financial services industry, specifically in life insuranceMarketing principles and sales skills in order to meet your targetsExperience in third-party marketingRelevant regulatory legislation and compliance knowledgeWillingness to travelMust have a valid driver’s license and reliable motor vehiclePersonal Qualities
