Overview

Location : Bedfordview, Johannesburg (Hybrid / Remote possible after training)

Employment Type : Full-Time

Salary : R30,000 per month (fixed salary) + incentives

We’re looking for a driven Junior Financial Advisor, salaried position starting at R30,000 per month, with additional incentives over time. This role is ideal for someone who is either a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) or actively working towards certification.

You’ll work directly with senior advisors, gaining exposure to high-net-worth individuals, companies, and trusts, with a focus on investment planning and long-term financial strategies. The role offers deep professional development and a potential path to international expansion in the future.

Responsibilities

Assist with goal-oriented, realistic financial planning for individuals, businesses, and trusts.
Develop tailored investment, retirement, and estate strategies.
Support senior advisors in delivering compliant, high-quality advice to clients.
Stay informed on local and offshore markets, legislation, and products.
Conduct research, prepare financial plans and reports, and assist with portfolio reviews.
Participate in ongoing training, strategy sessions, and client meetings.
Contribute to maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

CFP® certification or currently completing the CFP® qualification (required)

Grade 12 (Matric)

Wealth Management or similar qualification (minimum 120 credits, NQF Level 8)

1–3 years’ experience in a financial planning, investment advisory, or wealth management role

Strong understanding of the financial planning process and investment strategies

Professional communication skills and a high level of client engagement ability

Analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented

Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, corporates, and trusts is advantageous
