Key Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced technical support across routers, switches, firewalls, APN services, and wireless access points.
- Lead network troubleshooting, voice patching, and change management in line with ITIL and best practice frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
- Maintain and enhance technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Act as a senior escalation point, providing mentorship and leadership within the team.
- Ensure regulatory and security compliance (ICASA, POPIA, and related standards).
- Drive continuous improvement and stay ahead of emerging technologies within the telecoms and infrastructure landscape.
Skills & Experience
5 - 7 years relevant experienceAdvanced knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, STP).Strong background in network security (firewalls, VPNs, IDS / IPS, threat mitigation).Hands‑on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet technologies.Proven ability to troubleshoot complex environments (IP, voice, cloud, SD‑WAN, hybrid).Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.Leadership mindset with mentoring experience and a passion for operational excellence.Bonus : Experience with APN, RADIUS, and automation scripting.Qualifications (Advantageous)
CCNP / CCIE, JNCIA / JNCIP, ITIL FoundationCertifications in Security (CISSP, Fortinet NSE) or Cloud Networking (Veeam, VMware)What You’ll Deliver
