Bookkeeper

Seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to Balance Sheet that has worked on Pastel Evolution, has done Payroll and is advanced in Excel.

Duties :

Handle SARS financial audits.

Submit figures to the Department of Statistics.

Order and cancel fuel cards.

Do computer inventory audit for insurance purposes.

Ensure that maximum funds are invested for maximum interest.

Capture and reconcile cashbooks.

Pass Journals on Pastel and maintain Pastel system.

General ledger recons.

Do a weekly cashflow report.

Create creditor payments.

Calculate, reconcile and make a VAT payment associated with each company to SARS.

Pay PAYE over to SARS.

Pay UIF and SDL (Skills Development Levies) for each employee for each company to SARS.

Pay Workmens Comp for each company to the Compensation fund.

Obtain prices from China and create a costings worksheet of stock to be imported.

Create order and informing clearing agents of impending imports so that the relevant documentation can be

filled in.

Ensure overseas suppliers have been paid.

Open stock codes and create BOM (Bill Of Material) on Pastel.

Operate and reconcile petty cash.

Daily processing of payments.

Do weekly and monthly payroll for Admin and factory staff. Handle HR queries (IRP5 etc).

Pay provident fund at month end.

Send relevant information to Metal Industries (deductions) and NUMSA (union fees).

Submit all UIF deductions.

Log all mileage and take note of fuel consumption. Handle all fuel purchases, driver / staff petrol cards and

process claims.

Ensure that all company vehicles are : (1) properly licensed, (2) road worthy (3) insured with premiums up-to- date.

Supply the bank with all relevant documentation required when exporting goods.

Supply Accounts with a daily bank statement.

Assist with stock takes and with pricing
