Unlock Your Potential! We’re looking for a passionate Area Manager to join our AVI Field Marketing Shared Services Division in Western Cape . In this role, you will be required to perform a sales and merchandising function in the Winelands area servicing retail and wholesale customers in Worcester, Robertson, Ceres, De Doorns, Montague, Bonnievale, Swellendam and surroundings.

Monitor store ordering process, stock levels, and returns and take corrective action if requiredMonitor pricing and ensure mandate adherenceNegotiate promotional activityPOP implementation and negotiate ad-hoc display and spaceCheck-in stock, expiry dates and ensure shelf health standards are maintainedAddress pricing and delivery issuesMonitor forward share in relation to market share as well as the rate of saleMonitor slow and fast-selling SKUsEnsure displays and promotions are according to requirementsEnsure effective shelf health standards maintainedMerchandising done according to business unit layout standardApplication of POP drivers as per business unit briefFollow the call cycles and communicate any changes to customersEnsure the field marketers and merchandisers follow their call cyclesConfirm call cycles are followed and communicate changes to customers when neededMonitoring competitor activitiesEffective communication of activitiesMonitor implementation of promotional activityProvide feedback to Area Sales Manager and keep up to date on conduct issuesManage new launches and ensure all staff have been informed of the new launchesInform stores of new innovationMonitor listings and ranging of new launches and provide feedbackEnsure POS executionEnsure sufficient stock is ordered for the activityWhat It Takes to Succeed :
Experience that set you up for success :
Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an FMCG sales environment handling the retail and wholesale channelMust have supervisory skillsQualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success :
A completed Grade 12 / Matric certificateA Diploma / Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or Retail Management would be advantageousAdditional Requirements that will enhance your impact for success :
