We are seeking a skilled Hotel IT Technician to join the Facilities & Operations team, ensuring seamless IT operations across the property. The successful candidate will provide technical support, maintain hotel systems, and assist with network and software projects, enabling all departments to operate efficiently.
Critical Criteria (Requirements)
- National Diploma or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) advantageous
- Minimum 23 years experience in IT support, preferably in hospitality or commercial environments
- Experience with Opera or other PMS essential
- Proficiency in network administration, system troubleshooting, and user support
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- South African citizen with a valid ID

Duties & Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day technical support to all hotel departments, including Front Office, F&B, and back-office operationsTroubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to ensure minimal downtimeAssist with setup, maintenance, and upgrades of computers, printers, and other IT equipmentMonitor, maintain, and update network infrastructure, Wi-Fi, and server systemsInstall, configure, and upgrade software applications as requiredSupport PMS (Opera or other systems) and troubleshoot integration issues with POS, F&B, and other hotel systemsAssist with IT-related projects, system upgrades, and new technology implementationsCoordinate with external vendors for specialized support and maintenanceProvide guidance and training to hotel staff on IT systems, software, and best practicesMaintain accurate documentation of IT incidents, solutions, configurations, and create basic user manuals where neededMonitor IT security protocols, antivirus, and firewall compliance; report risks or breaches to managementUphold the hotels values of Teamwork, Respect, Innovation, Accountability, Passion, and IntegrityPackage on Offer
