We're looking for a deeply experienced UK VAT professional to lead compliance and process design for a high-profile global engagement, while preparing for a strategic statutory reporting initiative on the horizon.

What you'll be doing

Resolve complex UK VAT compliance issues for a global client
Design and implement robust VAT processes across UK operations
Collaborate with finance, tax, and operations teams to ensure seamless compliance
Guide the client through VAT audits and HMRC investigations
Align UK VAT processes with business objectives and best practices
Prepare for upcoming statutory project initiatives

What we're looking for

10+ years' experience in VAT, with significant UK VAT expertise

Strong analytical skills and practical knowledge of VAT reporting and accounting

Direct experience liaising with HMRC on audits and disputes

Proven ability to build or restructure VAT compliance frameworks

Experience working with multinational FMCG clients is highly advantageous

A structured, detail-focused mindset with strong communication skills

Able to work independently across cross-functional teams
