Overview
Our client is a fast-growing technology company that builds reinforcement learning environments and secure VM infrastructure for frontier labs and large enterprises to run and evaluate AI models. They are expanding their in-house finance team to create a specialized group dedicated to building, stress-testing, and reviewing the financial models that power both customer projects and internal decision-making.
The Opportunity
We are seeking five highly analytical Financial Modeling Analysts to join a high-velocity, internal consulting pod. In this role, you will build new models, review and refine existing ones, and provide clear recommendations to both technical and business stakeholders. The work will span investment banking and private equity-style modeling, plus targeted accounting analysis where needed. This role emphasizes speed, accuracy, and a breadth of modeling experience within a U.S. company context.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling : Build, audit, and maintain complex financial models for a variety of use cases, including scenario analysis, valuation, market sizing, and unit economics.
- Model Review & Refinement : Critically review third-party or client-provided models to check logic, reconcile assumptions, identify issues, and propose improvements.
- Strategic Communication : Translate complex business questions into clear model structures, and then communicate the results and tradeoffs in concise memos or walkthroughs to both technical and non-technical partners.
- Process & Collaboration : Partner with engineering and operations teams to align on data inputs, version control, and model handoffs within the company's secure VM environment.
- Standardization : Establish modeling templates, quality control checklists, and best practices to improve the speed and quality of work across the broader team.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
Deep modeling experience in one or more of the following fields : investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance.Demonstrated speed with high accuracy; you can turn complex models around quickly without sacrificing structure or detail.Experience working with U.S. companies or U.S. market practices, with an understanding of common financial conventions.Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to clean documentation and version hygiene.Advanced spreadsheet skills (expert in Excel or Google Sheets).A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.Preferred Qualifications
Experience auditing models created by other analysts or vendors at a fast pace.Familiarity with technology or AI-driven businesses and their operating metrics.Exposure to valuation and transaction work across multiple sectors.Work Setup
This is a full-time, remote role with a flexible schedule, requiring 4 to 6 hours of overlap with U.S. time zones (Pacific or Eastern).Brand-new equipment will be provided for this role, along with a controlled and secure IT environment.Seniority level
