Artisan Learnership (1X Boilermaker)

Cementation Africa invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Artisan Learnership -Boilermaker to be placed in Carletonville, Gauteng. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.

Responsibilities

• Commit to attending the Artisan Learnership Programme as per the Learnership Agreement.
• Perform occupationally related work to meet the practical workplace integrated learning requirements as specified in the learnership; this may include working in line with a site’s working cycle which could include Saturdays.
• Understand and comply with the Employer’s standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols.
• Be available for, and participate in, all structured learning and practical workplace experience activities required by the learnership.
• Attend theoretical learning sessions and practical learning activities as arranged with the approved training provider.
• Participate in the required final assessment activities on completion of the Learnership.
• Devote time, attention and ability to the training provided and obey all legitimate orders and instructions whilst on the Learnership programme.
• Will be expected to be appropriately dressed, groomed and ready for work at the starting time of each learner shift.
• Effective self‑management in alignment with the Employer’s core values (Care, Ownership, Integrity, Partnership, Innovation and Resilience).
