Full Stack Software Engineer – AI & Automation | Zensar Technologies | South Africa (Hybrid)

We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer (AI & Automation) who is passionate about building AI-driven, intelligent business applications that transform decision-making and streamline complex workflows. This is a hands-on, technical engineering role in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Title : Full Stack Software Engineer – AI & Automation

Location : Gauteng (Hybrid)

Experience : 6–10 years

Employment Type : Full-time 6 to 12 months renewable contract

Your Impact

  • Design, develop, and maintain AI-enhanced business applications that drive intelligent automation and decision-making.
  • Integrate Azure OpenAI , Azure AI Services , and AI APIs into enterprise applications.
  • Build AI-powered automation solutions using Azure AI Foundry and Azure AI Services to extract insights and optimize workflows.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business analysts to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with strong focus on performance and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews , pair programming, and continuous improvement sessions.
  • Integrate with internal enablement teams and vendors to embed emerging AI technologies .

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong full stack engineering background with C#, .NET, Python, SQL, TypeScript , and Azure PaaS .
  • Proven experience building robust, scalable APIs and enterprise-grade applications.
  • Proficiency with Azure AI Foundry , Azure AI Services , and AI-driven UI frameworks (React or Angular).
  • Experience with prompt engineering , LLM chaining , and OpenAI API integration .
  • Familiarity with Semantic Kernel , Copilot , and AI coding assistants for accelerating development.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps , Terraform / Bicep , App Services , Functions , Key Vault , and API Management .
  • Database and ETL experience with Azure Data Factory , Cosmos DB , DataLake , Power Automate , or Microsoft Fabric .
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning (ML) , LLM fine-tuning , and NLP API integration .
  • Experience integrating CRM platforms (e.g., Dynamics 365 , Salesforce ) via APIs.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DORA metrics for delivery optimization.

    • Preferred Profile

  • Exposure to financial markets or investment banking systems (equities, corporate broking).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and in fast-changing environments.
  • Enthusiastic about AI innovation , automation , and continuous learning .
