A leading renewable energy company is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer

A leading renewable energy company committed to creating a sustainable future through innovative solar energy solutions is seeking an embedded systems engineer who will play a key role in contributing to the electronic design of renewable energy solutions for the consumer electronics industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and manage test strategies for devices and products / systems to be executed during product / system design verification.
• Provide peer guidance to lower-level engineers and technicians to bring projects to successful completion.
• Electronic hardware design and PCB layout.
• Design of product electronic hardware including material selection, impedance calculations, PCB stack-ups, PCB track layout, component placement, etc.
• Perform reviews on the design when it is ready for fabrication / assembly.
• Prepare product and manufacturing documentation packages as required by the project and maintain documentation during the lifecycle of the product utilizing configuration control.
• Continuous improvement and optimization of product design of performance, cost, and reliability.
• Identify and track technical issues and drive them to closure.
• Liaise with other R+D team members and supply chain as needed to develop cost-effective high-quality designs.

Skills & Experience

Qualification

BEng / BSc in Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering.

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
