Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Registered Tax Practitioner status (essential).
- 3–5 years of relevant tax compliance experience.
- In-depth knowledge of South African tax law, including Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, and other regulations.
- Practical experience with SARS eFiling and a strong track record of liaising directly with SARS.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
Main Responsibilities :
Calculate provisional tax payments and prepare IRP6 provisional tax returns.Liaise with SARS and manage foreign tax clearance applications, filing of tax returns, and financial emigration administration for individual clients.Review assessments, calculate taxable income, and estimate tax liabilities or refunds.Remain current on legislation changes affecting the Income Tax Act and SARS eFiling practices.Proactively identify opportunities within the tax department for process improvement and development.Regularly review operational procedures and processes to ensure full compliance with local statutes and regulations.Propose enhancements to streamline the collection of tax information from clients.If you thrive in a performance-oriented and supportive environment and want to play a key role in helping clients navigate a fast-evolving financial landscape, apply now to join this innovative team!
