Job descriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in our Khayelitsha, Cape Town area. Yabonga seeks to appoint a qualified Child and Youth Care Worker. Child and Youth Care worker qualification. Know and understand the DSD Risiha programme Minimum of 2 - 3 years' experience as CYCW post qualification. Be able to do home / child and family assessments of Yabonga beneficiaries Able to identify challenges. Ability to speak English and IsiXhosa. Experience with children and understanding of Children's Act 38 of 2005. Speak and write detailed reports in IsiXhosa and English language Well presented, Punctual and Strong commitment Must have a great interest in community and child development Ability to network Highly flexible and ability to work in a demanding environment Problem solving capabilities High work ethic Comfortable working in and around the Khayelitsha area Date posted : 17 October 2025
