Job Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and passionate Junior Brand Manager to join the Foods team. The role will support the Knorrox Marketing Manager to grow the business in a highly competitive environment. You will lead projects, develop through-the-line launch plans, manage activations, and implement impact brand campaigns and activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the value & volume led growth agenda on the Knorrox brand by leading innovations and managing BLG campaigns based on category growth principles
  • End-to-end brand management for South Africa
  • Focus on incremental future growth opportunities and management of existing core business
  • End-to-end P&L responsibility, including S&OP management
  • Budget (BMI) management to ensure full delivery of projects
  • Lead several Innovation Projects (e.g., development of new mixes / launch into new categories)
  • Leadership / support of NRM or SC Activity Requests (e.g., introduction of new pack sizes / formats)
  • Developing & executing inspiring brand communications in partnership with creative agencies
  • Leading Integrated Brand Planning Process (annual IBP)
  • Management of Brand’s digital strategy and ecomm
  • Key cross-functional relationships : Customer Development, Shopper Marketing, Supply Chain, Consumer Market Insights, Research and Development, Finance Business Partners

Experiences & Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Degree in Marketing, Business and / or Commerce
  • A minimum of 3-5 years in FMCG / related Marketing, Branding and Digital Marketing experience
  • Skills

  • Strong growth and ownership mindset; self-starter with a winning and competitive mindset
  • Project and innovation management, and business acumen
  • Strong numeracy and budget management skills
  • Ability to deliver operationally while thinking ahead to long-term growth
  • Cross-functional relationship management : Agencies, Customer Development, Shopper Marketing, Supply Chain, Consumer Market Insights, Research and Development, Finance Partners
  • Bias for action and drive; ability to work independently to deliver goals
  • Consumer and customer focus with the ability to uncover insights and translate into actionable plans
  • Rigour and order in addressing issues and solving problems
  • Passion for growing nutrition category marketing with the consumer at the forefront
