Senior BI Developer

WatersEdge Solutions is hiring an experienced Senior BI Developer to join a high-impact data science team building enterprise-grade BI infrastructure and delivering insights that matter. If you’re passionate about Power BI, data modelling, and defining scalable BI architectures—this is an exciting opportunity to drive both innovation and delivery within a cutting-edge analytics function.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Head of Data Science, you’ll lead the design, development, and optimisation of end-to-end BI solutions across internal and client-facing projects. You’ll define architectural standards, collaborate cross-functionally, and mentor junior team members—while leveraging modern BI tools, frameworks, and practices to unlock the power of data.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full BI lifecycle : ingestion, transformation, modelling, and visualisation
• Build Synapse pipelines, semantic models, OLAP cubes, and Power BI dashboards
• Define architectural patterns, enforce governance, and establish scalable standards
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements
• Stay at the forefront of modern BI technologies (e.g., lakehouse, Spark, Delta Lake)
• Optimise BI performance, troubleshoot large datasets, and implement best practices
• Support internal decision-making through reporting, templates, and ad hoc analytics
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the evolution of the BI practice
