Qualifications : BS / B Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years' experience in a similar position. Previous experience in the Pulp and Paper industry and SAP PM will be advantageous.

Purpose of the Job

To effectively manage the maintenance resources of the Paper and Tissue machines to optimize machine availability and performance at the mill.

Reporting To

Engineering Manager

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure application of applicable engineering standards, procedures, and practices.
• Provide engineering and maintenance expertise in failure investigations and problem-solving.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing principles to develop maintenance programs and best practices.
• Compile and manage annual capital and maintenance budgets for efficient and safe operation.
• Control project expenditures and schedules within budget.
• Manage projects initiated or prioritized by the client, including change management and project processes.
• Maintain plant and equipment in line with manufacturing strategies, minimizing lifecycle costs and ensuring legal compliance.
• Develop equipment replacement or optimization plans to enhance performance and reliability.
• Develop and mentor subordinates, ensuring compliance with SHEQ standards and legislation.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain high standards of workplace housekeeping.
