JUNIOR SQL DEVELOPER – 100% Remote, salary : R500K – R600K per year. This is a graduate-level role designed to build the data engines behind global trading systems.

A Global Independent INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT Company headquartered in London, with offices in South Africa. They provide a range of investment services to private clients, financial intermediaries, and institutions globally; and engineer Financial Trading Applications for the market. The tech team designs and develops global FinTech products.

The Role

This is a true entry level SQL role. You’ll work on live systems that directly support financial trading and portfolio management. You’ll be mentored by senior developers, data engineers and database engineers, gaining hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimising SQL databases that underpin real-time trading systems.

You’ll learn how to design schemas, write high-performance queries, maintain data integrity, and troubleshoot issues in production environments – building a foundation that will accelerate you into a mid-level developer role.

Responsibilities
