Job Summary
To provide defined fiduciary end-to-end advisory services on all aspects of estate planning, wealth management, formation and administration of domestic and cross-border trusts and companies and dedicated planning for any complex, local and cross-border assets to clients in Relationship Bank, Corporate and Investment Bank, Retail Bank, and all other distribution channels as per Absa Trust's Advice and Fulfillment strategy. Training to Bankers and Financial Advisors in order for them to identify opportunities to deliver the total Client Value Proposition to their clients.

Job Description
Advisery Services : Assist in providing identified Advisery services to High Net Worth clients of the Group and Bankers / Financial Advisers on fiduciary matters within the ambit of the Financial Planning Institute (FPI) and the Fiduciary Institute of South Africa (FISA), focusing on Estate, Retirement and Insurance Planning.Assist in using Wealth Planning techniques and structuring vehicles; draft Estate Planning and Business Assurance proposals; consult with Bankers / Financial Advisers; draft Wills and Trusts or ensure Wills and Trusts drafted by Absa Trust meet client needs.Provide specialised Advisery services on legal, tax and other complex financial planning matters within FPI and FISA; provide technical training in Wealth Planning techniques / skills to Bankers.Support interpretation and usage of Wealth Planning structuring vehicles; prepare Estate Planning Proposals, Trust Audits, and Ownership Structure Proposals.Consult directly with clients and Private Banker / Financial Advisers; assist other Specialists as part of a national Centre of Excellence; provide high-level technical knowledge to Regional Management; contribute to strategic projects and wealth planning intellectual capital.Stakeholder Management : Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; communicate developments; ensure impeccable and timely service; liaise with Business Unit Heads and Absa Group specialists to align technical matters.Collaborate with international partners for offshore offerings to High Net-Worth Clients.Revenue Generation : Manage commercial profitability to meet revenue targets; monitor and drive Will applications, Will drafting flow, and estate planning through distribution channels.Quality control of Will Applications; review applications for completeness and clarity before sending to Wills Drafting Office; ensure proper Estate Plans using tools such as Trusts (Inter Vivos, Living, First Dying) and corporate structures.Safe custody of signed Wills, training of channels on legal requirements, and timely filing in Safe Custody; monthly reconciliation of safekeeping balances.Trusts : Advise and create Living or Inter Vivos Trusts as needed; ensure compliance with Financial Intelligence Centre Act and Client Acceptance Screening; document submission for drafting.Achieve personal sales targets via trained channels; ensure correct leads are used to meet targets.Customer Service : Engage with clients to maintain professional service; resolve fiduciary-related complaints within 24 hours; build and maintain stakeholder relationships across channels; escalate complex matters to Area Manager within 24 hours.Drive a professional client services culture and ensure timely processing of drafted Wills within SLAs; correct spelling errors on documents promptly.Compliance : Adhere to ABSA compliance requirements and legislation; follow risk, information security, records management and AML / Sanctions policies; complete compulsory training timely; perform other duties as assigned.FAIS Fit and Proper Requirements : Onboard with FSCA-Approved Qualification and RE5 regulatory exam; complete product-specific training and ongoing professional development.Education
