The main purpose of the job :
Responsible for managing and developing all credit functions and indirect business activities within the assigned region. The role ensures sound credit evaluation, effective collections management, and proactive risk mitigation to optimise financial performance and support business growth.
Responsibilities :
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness and set appropriate credit limits and terms.
- Monitor accounts, manage collections, and resolve overdue payments.
- Identify and mitigate credit risks through regular analysis and monitoring.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams to resolve credit matters.
- Prepare and present credit performance reports and insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with all credit laws, policies, and internal controls.
- Lead and support the credit team to achieve performance targets and maintain service standards.
Requirements :
Matric and tertiary qualification in Finance or Legal StudiesDiploma in Credit Management (Levels 14) or equivalent finance-related qualification5+ years experience in credit control / debtors management, preferably in FMCG7+ years overall experience in Credit Management with proven team leadershipExperience in the auto finance industry is advantageousStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables)Knowledge of credit scoring models, risk assessment, financial analysis, and collection processesExcellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
